ELECT Renee Beverly for VEA Board Representative
Since 1982, I have been an active member of the Virginia Education Association. As a member of the Spotsylvania Education Association, and having several leadership roles, it was my personal goal to listen to the needs and concerns of our diverse membership and to advocate for children and public education.
My strongest commitment is to work to ensure educators are aware that they can belong to their profession because “belonging” makes a difference. In light of the upcoming budget battles and other issues, having leadership experience makes a difference, as well. My many connections and the experience to assist VEA in their actions are crucial. I have a proven leadership record as Past- President, the support of the current VEA Board Director, Marianne Simpson ( which I work very closely with) and will continue to work for you.
From the first day of my membership in this incredible Association, I have belonged to a movement that advances public education, while witnessing the power we have as a collective whole. My goal is to continue our fight in local and state issues regarding professioanlism, ESP's, teacher and para's salaries, lobbying and writing letters offsetting the governor’s proposals for education, and making sure you have a voice. A vote for Renee is the way to go. Why? I am here for you, dedicated and when you need me, “REMEMBER: I have your back!”
